Division 38 would like to bid a fond farewell to Dr. Schmitt. After more than 30 years of practice with Virginia Gynecologists, LTD and Capital Women’s Care, Dr. Schmitt decided to retire on December 31, 2015. He has taken care of multiple generations of women, and his compassion and empathy will be greatly missed. There will certainly not be as many practical jokes taking place every day in the office. He has earned a relaxing life in retirement while enjoying his children and grandchildren. He is remaining in the Northern Virginia area until his wife retires later this year, and they eventually plan on moving to the Seattle, Washington area. We want to reassure all his patients that the remaining physicians (Drs. Grimm, Schulman, and Jefferies) as well as Nurse Practitioner (Jenna Grimm) will so everything that we can to continue to provide the level of understanding and excellent care that he has provided these many years.
